Uncovering the Oak Grove

Today wasn't about planting flowers.

It was about caring for one of the oldest and most beautiful places on our property.

These massive trees have been here far longer than we have, quietly standing watch over this land for generations. They offer shade, peace, and a sense of timelessness that is hard to put into words.

Over time, parts of the grove became overgrown and hidden, but even then, I always felt there was something special about this place.

Today, we began uncovering it.

As we cleared, the beauty of the old oaks slowly revealed themselves. The light filtered through the branches, the open space beneath the canopy emerged, and for the first time, I could truly begin to see what this area might become.

One day, I imagine this grove as a peaceful retreat—a place with benches, hammocks, quiet conversations, and moments of rest beneath these incredible trees. A place where people sit a little longer, breathe a little deeper, and enjoy the simple things.

Sometimes progress looks like building something new.

And sometimes progress looks like uncovering the beauty that has been there all along.

Today felt like one of those days.

One peaceful step at a time, Blossom Bottom Farm is becoming what we've dreamed it could be.
